Lacquer Studio

We provide a custom lacquer service for our inventory of "raw" pieces! If a piece is listed raw, in it's original finish, it is available for custom lacquer. At this time, we are not able to take any outside inventory for lacquer.
Our stock colors are paint colors we always have in stock and they are included in the price of your purchased piece. Some of these colors do change seasonally. If you would like to choose your own custom color, please add the "custom color" item to your cart and note your Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams color in the "notes" section upon checkout.
All original hardware will be painted in a gold gloss, unless listed in the product description of the item. If your piece is eligible for new hardware, and you would like to switch out the hardware for our stock lucite hardware pulls please add the "lucite hardware" product to your order and note that in the "notes" section upon checkout.
If a piece (typically dressers, buffets, nightstands) can sustain legs and are needing a little more elevated look, it will be mentioned in the product description. Please add the "custom legs" product to your cart and add notes at checkout for brass or Lucite legs. This is a $150 upcharge which includes the cost and labor for the legs.
Our finished products ship from South Florida where they're lacquered by our professional painters. This location is not for retail or "to the trade" shopping. However, we house an overflow of already lacquered "ready to ship" pieces and non- lacquered Floridian Finds in our showroom in Birmingham, Alabama- where we would love to see you! View the "Ready to Ship" collection page to view available pieces that are ready to ship.
Our professional lacquer painters use high gloss lacquer to beautifully enhance a fresh look on a vintage piece. Our pieces are antique and pre- loved. We choose pieces for our inventory in the best possible shape and if minor refurbishment is needed, our painters will assist. However, please keep in mind all sales are final and vintage and hand painted items will always have minor imperfections. These are vintage pieces and most between 50-70 + years of age. Vintage pieces will still have great bones, hardwoods, dovetail joints, wood glides. The interior will look well used. All that comes with living and serving for 50+ years to the previous owners. All vintage and handprinted items will have some imperfections.
Sometimes, our antique and vintage finds are in good enough condition to be kept raw and that will be noted in the product description. If interested in a piece raw, please send us an email and we can adjust the price for you accordingly. Otherwise, all of our prices are calculated with the custom lacquer service included.

We use small business shippers to hand deliver our furniture pieces to your home. Please allow 8 weeks for your piece to be custom lacquered and an additional 3 weeks for your piece to be shipped. Endless hours of prep work and labor go carefully into each and every piece. Please understand these pieces need time to cure once painted and once a piece is completely cured, we then coordinate shipping. Depending on your location, your items will arrive in 1 day- 14 days.

You will be contacted with shipping updates one week out, and again 24 hours out with a three hour time window from our drivers. Someone must be available to meet our drivers, if that is not possible, please have a safe space (covered porch or patio) for your piece to be delivered. If you happen to be out of town, please try to coordinate a family member, friend or neighbor to meet our shippers. Your shipping includes ground floor and entry way/ foyer delivery. Our drivers are on a strict schedule for delivery, if you unable for any reason to meet our drivers, they are unable to reschedule.
