Baby number two is on the way for our founder, Elizabeth, which means we have another beautiful nursery to share with you to take inspiration from. Elizabeth believes that every room should tell a story and this nursery is the start to an exciting chapter for her family.
Growing up as one of three girls, bows, pinks, and all things girly was all she knew. So designing a space with a baby boy in mind was a fun and refreshing change. She leaned into her husband's love of the water to incorporate all things fishing and boating into the space for her son who will be named after him.
Baby Hughston's nursery is full of glossy lacquer, bamboo, and rattan with a bright, citrusy palette of oranges and yellow. After deciding on fabrics for the roman shade, curtains, valence, and crib accessories Elizabeth knew that natural accents and a bit of softness would allow the fabric and lacquer shelf to pop.
A vintage shell mirror with fish plates surrounding it create a focal point above a six drawer rattan dresser with bamboo detail lamps and all the diaper changing essentials.
No room is complete without a bit of lacquer and a bright orange shelf makes for the perfect place to house knick knacks, books, and decor to be admired while reading and feeding.
