To celebrate one year of Hibiscus House we hosted a Summer Soirée at our Birmingham, Alabama showroom. With the help of friends, family, and designers we toasted to a successful year of bringing a bit of Floridian flair through vintage furnishings and vibrant lacquer colors to our clients near and far. The soirée was complete with live music, libations, and lite bites for everyone to enjoy! Very special guest appearance was made by our extremely talented lead lacquer painters, Erin Lindsey and Kevin Sullivan.
Our inspiration was derived from nonother than our sunny statement brand colors: coral and citrine. We used vintage fabric as table linens, palm leaves atop sterling silver platters and crisp, modern white vases to accompany cheerful floral arrangements. An original watercolor invitation, by Laura Trevey, truly set the stage of our celebratory occasion. Of course… no party would be complete without a signature cocktail! A crafty “South Florida Swizzle” was the drink of choice to pair with hour devours such as heirloom tomato tarts, prosciutto melon skewers and key lime pie shooters. Guest departed with custom handy tape measures and Hibiscus House themed sugar cookies and thanks to local event company, James Kennedy Events, our vision became a true vivacious reality.
