When our owner, Elizabeth, found out she was expecting we knew an adorable Hibiscus House nursery would be on the horizon. After customizing so many changing tables for clients it has been so fun for Elizabeth to choose her own. With baby girl Blair due very soon we're thrilled to bring you inside her fabulous new room in anticipation!
Since a lacquered dresser was a given, Elizabeth started designing by picking out fabric. She settled on Annie Selke's Aqua and Pink Vine fabric for the custom scallop valance, curtains, roman shade, crib skirt, and monogrammed bumper. A matching pink was chasing for piping on some of these elements and Spoonflower's Leopard Parade in Turquoise made for a fun pop on the glider pillow! From there it was off to gather paint chips for the dresser ultimately landing on Benjamin Moore's Jack Frost to pull a lighter turquoise shade from the selected fabric.
Something soft both in shade and texture was needed for the rug, and Jill Zarin Home's English Manor rug in pink was the perfect choice for both. A beautiful print by Teil Duncan with coordinating colors makes a statement above the crib while paying homage to Elizabeth's Floridian routes with a colorful beach scene. A pagoda mirror complements the dresser well while allowing it to remain a focal point.
Smaller accessories pull the space together as a room that's sure to be well enjoyed once baby Blair arrives home from the hospital!
